I joined Jeffrey almost 8 years back and I have never ever regretted this decision. I had previously worked as an engineer and have no prior experience of the finance industry. However, Jeffrey was there to guide me along the rope to learn and quickly adapt to the environment. All my previous fears before joining were quickly erased as I have the best mentor guiding me.
In addition to working hard alongside him, we also created lots of memorable memories of fun together. The overseas trip to Osaka, Melbourne and a lot more other fun places definitely provide the required de-stress needed from our hard work. From these, fun memories are created! JEFFREY IS WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE
I met Jeffrey when I took up an HR contract role during the Covid-19 circuit breaker and he was my immediate boss.
For me, I told myself that my first job after I graduate from SMU needs to be something I love, with a mentor that’s willing to impart knowledge and guide me along. After working with him for a couple of months, I could see how he was willing to always sacrifice his time, even personal time, just to make sure his employees’ needs were always taken care of.
I also admire his work ethics and, even though he may be my boss/leader, he’s constantly reminding and asking me to teach him new things, especially what the youngsters are learning these days. His drive to keep learning and improving himself motivates me to become better as well. He also doesn't give you the answer whenever you have doubts but guides you and allows you to think and come up with the answer yourself, even though it could very much mean taking up more time and it's this kind of guidance that I will always appreciate.
One thing I love about working with Jeffrey and his team is that I am able to voice out whenever. The flat hierarchical arrangement has enabled me to speak and learn from Jeffrey himself. He also often thinks about others (for e.g., convenience/time available) before himself. Many times, as we are all very engaged and busy during the weekdays, there are times whereby we could only meet Jeffrey during the weekends. He will always make sure to meet me and clarify my doubts, even though he could use that time to spend it with his wife and kids.
As much as the environment is fun and enjoyable while working, you can also expect Jeffrey to be serious when it comes to getting work done. He pays a lot of attention to detail and is very organised. It makes learning and working with him a whole lot easier.

I met Jeffrey almost 20 years ago, when he stopped me over at a roadshow event. That’s where we began our client-agent relationship. I met Jeffrey through my job interview at his organisation, JGO. As I have recently graduated from polytechnic and is waiting to enroll into university later this year, I decided to look for a temporary full-time job to make the most out of my holidays. To be frank, I attended a few other interviews in the same industry, but I chose to work at JGO because of the impression Jeffrey left me from my interview sessions. I got to know Jeffrey through my Financial Consultant in 2014. Back then, I was working in the shipping industry, and was sharing with my consultant the challenges I faced during one of the reviews, and she invited me to a company event to understand more about the work of a Financial Consultant.

Before joining JGO, I was already working full time, but the longest that I stayed in a single company was 8 months, so it is really amazing to think that I’ve already been here for 8 years (and still counting)!
As a new Financial Consultant back then, I knew nothing about the business and the industry. But with the guidance of Jeffrey and the seniors, it really helped me set off on the right foot on this journey. The journey here has been very satisfying. Of course, there are always ups and downs, but with the support of the team, we never go through it alone. Whenever I feel down, I know that I can rely on Jeffrey and my teammates, and whenever we reach a milestone, they are also always there to cheer for you. What I really like about working with Jeffrey is that he is not only a great leader and mentor at work, but also in life.
At work, as long as you have a goal in mind you want to achieve, no matter how big or small, he will always be there to support you and help you achieve it. He may come off very strict at times, but I know that he always has your best interest at heart. As long as it is within his means, he will go all out to help you with whatever you need. I will always remember that time when he even met me on zoom on Christmas Eve, and we even countdown together over zoom. This is really the kind of dedication he has for his agents.
Jeffrey also strongly encourages us to have a good work-life balance. He always says that life is not just about work, but we also need to have a life outside of work as well. This ensures and takes care of our mental wellbeing, which is something that I appreciate.

MEET MY AMAZING MENTOR WHO GIVES ABUNDANTLY
I met Jeffrey 7 years ago through my brother's friend who had already worked in a partnership with him for several years.
But due to my academic qualifications then, I'm not able to be licensed immediately. However, because of this very first conversation where Jeffrey assured and affirmed me, I took the leap of faith and further my studies, just wanting to be part of his team and steward this role ahead.
